LG Q6: Beautiful 18:9 Display, Not a smartphone for high-end specs


LG launched it Q6 with FullVision display on Wednesday last week in India for Rs. 14990 exclusively on amazon.



The Smartphone is available in two colors in India, Black and Platinum.


The phone has a 18:9 screen aspect ratio like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 only for Rs 14990, making it the only phone to come with this screen ration in the Rs 10,000-15,000 price range. It has resolution of 1080 pixels by 2160 pixels at a PPI of 442 pixels per inch making it a very vibrant display. The device also has Gorilla Glass protection.

Build Quality

The phone has a 5.50 inch screen but is still very compact to hold compared to other smartphones because of it screen to body ratio. The phone finishes with metal except the back cover which is plastic. The overall build quality of the phone is very good.



The phone has 13- megapixel Rear Camera and 5- megapixel front facing camera with F 2.2 lens. The photos are very very good bot for indoors and outdoors. The photos comes out to be noisy in low light. overall the camera works very good takes about a second to focus on the object but gives a sharp focus.

Hardware and Interface

The phone comes with a 3000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 435 Octa Core Cortex A- 53, Adreno 505 GPU. 3 GB RAM and 32 GB Storage. The phone lacks somewhere in the hardware. The processor isn’t that good and may give you a bit slower experience. Also has a face unlock system.

The interface is the typical LG custom User Interface rather than stock android. The users may find it a bit different browsing the phone who are using LG for the first time.

The Lacks

Despite it’s beautiful display and good Camera but lacks somewhere in the market with some absent features which are easily available in other smartphones of this range pricing.

The Phone doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner which is very important and common in smartphones. So, You can use the typical PIN, Pattern or Face Unlock System.

The phone also don’t have a front facing flash which is now a important feature in smartphones.

The phone does not comes with a fast charger and does not support fast charging that is once again a compromise by LG on this Phone


The phone has a good build quality, brilliant display and curves, Sharp screen, good Interface, decent Camera and the phone is very compact and handy to carry despite it 5.50″ screen.

The phone somewhere lacks in basic features. So, If you want a good and Budget Display Phone than LG Q6 is just the right option but if you want some good features than you shall wait.
